Happiness was her name, Merryland she dwelled
It was her birthday 16th they gifted her wings
feathered
White as snow, she flapped them with joy unmeasured
Wings would protect till the time she was pure
If she got selfish they would wither for sure
Away from Merryland she once found a flame
Hypnotised she picked it up and asked his name
“I take as much as I give, earned much acclaim
I think you have never met me, Love is my name”
O’ Love will you stay with me, I will take you around
To meet my friends and show them what I've found!
Love and Happiness moved together
Thinking this life would be forever
One fine day, Distrust came
She asked back for Love without any shame
Happiness decided not to give up
Protect Love under her wings close up
The flame of love was now a fire
Burning the wings till its last fibre
She kept love close selfish not to part
The flames got bigger, started burning her heart
Heart turned to ashes louder she cried
Love she gave away her soul had died
O Happiness, what happened to you said Gratitude
She showed him ashes handful
Embraced by Faith
She accepted her fate
Happiness is no longer her name
Heartless she is now known as Pain
